Although best known for its cultural attractions and beautiful scenery, it still manages to serve up a decent selection of go-gos and other entertainment venues. Spotlight Bar

The best go-go bar in Chiang Mai. The girls are good looking and smile more than the ones at other places. The bar fine is 400 baht, falling to 300 after midnight.

Cozy Corner
Moon Muang, across the moat from Spotlight.
Since the crackdown, things have been shaky here. Sometimes there is dancing, sometimes only hostesses. One thing is for sure, the shower show is long gone. Bar fine is 450 baht.

Starsix

Once the raunchiest of the Chiang Mai girly bars, Star Six has also stopped all the special shows. The dark interior is a bit too much and there are too many ladyboys for my taste. That said, they do tend to be very beautiful, which is not how I would describe to the resident girls. I always steer round this seedy little clip joint. Cover charge 100 baht, bar fine 500 baht.

The place where many working girls stop at on their way home. Open until late.

One of the better fish bowl massage parlours in town. Frequented largely by Asian tourists, though Westerners are very welcome. Around 1,000 baht for the bath package.

Puang Zad Coffee Shop

Another massage/bath place. This is more centrally located than Sayuri and the girls are more familiar with Westerners. The prices are accordingly higher.
