Pattaya Nightlife

Pattaya is synonymous with nightlife. This place reinvented the word 'fun', and despite the recent crackdowns, and its reputation for seediness, it's still the place to go if you want a party. Even when all the bars seem closed, believe me, you'll soon find one that isn't. And if that fails, simply take your beer to Beach Road and start a party of your own - you'll soon attract a crowd of like-minded fun lovers.

From Nakula in the North to Pattaya Hill in the south, the cross streets between Beach Road and Second Road are alive with bars of all varieties. Start in the north with the beer bars of Soi 1, then wander to the short time bars of Soi 6, before getting to Soi 7 & 8 where there's a real party atmosphere every night of the week. Further south, Sois Yamoto and Post Office provide another healthy batch of fun places and there are dozens more on Beach Road and Second Road, especially after Central Pattaya Road.

The next major area is Pattayaland. This area comprises three sois jam-packed with bars. Pattayaland 2 has numerous gogo bars, while Pattayaland 3 is a boys town area. Pattayland 1 is what you might call sexually confused.

The perceived heart of Pattaya nightlife is Walking Street. Here you'll find every conceivable type of pleasure palace on the main drag, or just off it. Seeing is believing!

In addition to the places we've mentioned, there's more fun to be had on the sois from Second Road going east, soi Buackaow and even on Third Road. Quite simply, Pattaya is awash with literally square miles of bars, gogos, massage parlours, restaurants and hotels.

This really is party town!
