Entertainment in Phuket

As a major holiday destination, Phuket boasts many forms of entertainment - from tedious trios to spectacular shows.Here are just a few:

Green Man
Patak Road, (on main road between Kata Beach and Chalong, Rawai).

When you first see this building you may think you've somehow been transported back to England. A mock Tudor pub in the middle of nowhere, the Green Man takes the theme pub thing very seriously. That said, it's not a bad place with live music - predominantly jazz - most nights and Sunday lunchtimes.

Molly Malone's and Scruffy Murphy's
Beach Road (south end near KFC) and Soi Bangla.
Two Irish theme pubs with the same management. The nightly music, which tends to be pop/rock, sometimes with an Irish flavour, always seems to go down a storm.

Phuket Fantasea
Kamla Beach.
This is a spectacular show that everybody who's seen it raves about. A massive production with the final scene featuring no less than 20 elephants! The show is all about Thai history and culture and is fantastic entertainment.

Popular cabaret featuring lady boys performing in pretty dresses against equally stunning backdrops. A spectacle that's not only impressive but will give you some great stories to tell over your G&Ts when you get home.
